I purchased one of these bags and one Eagle Creek carry on 22″ because my local Bed, Bath and Beyond didn’t have two in stock. It wheeled great in the store, however, once at MIA it was okay. If the floor is not very even or is carpeted I had to pull it the traditional way.
I love the red color and overall like the suitcase, but the biggest problem with ALL the 22″ carry ons is fitting in the overhead bin. I do NOT use the outer pockets nor use the expanding function, and on American Airlines it would not fit it handle out/wheels in. A man helped me and turned it around and it barely fit after a few good shoves.
I decided to check this bag at SJU airport, and unlike MIA they actually took the time to weigh the checked bags. Just prior to entering the plane they pulled aside people with bulky or questionably sized bags and put them into a bag checker. A woman in front of me didn’t pass. I don’t think this would have.
After trying three different brands of soft sided 22″ carry ons I think I’m going to switch to a smaller bag probably hard sided and do what I saw other people doing. Use a backpack or similar bag for my “personal item” and store a purse.

This is a great travel bag. It moves easily because of the spinner wheels, which makes it easy to move on carpeted hallways and tiled floors. It’s very spacious so can pack a lot. It also fits well into an airplane’s overhead bin. Plus, it’s an excellent color. The name Samsonite means something in this bag.

The bag works great in an airport, but after my first trip down car rental row I chewed off the back two wheels pulling it behind me. Amazon quickly sent out a replacement assuming it was a faulty piece. Unfortunately the second bag faced the same fate. Friendly advice, keep it on a flat smooth surface.

My prior favorite suitcase finally gave up… unfortunately they don’t last forever when they are bounced on luggage belts, thrown onto luggage carts, and squashed into airplane cargo holds.
This suitcase was a bit more expensive than some, but the prior reviews suggested it was well-made and well-designed. It’s now been on a 3 week trip to Singapore and back (6 airplanes, and traveling over 20,000 miles) and worked just beautifully. It was checked luggage for this trip, and supplemented by a small daypack for the things I wanted to keep with me on the planes – a change of clothing, personal electronics and valuables.
This suitcase is smaller than the one it replaced, but is very well designed and held everything I would normally take. Its size also means I’ll have no trouble getting it into overhead bins when it’s a carry-on. And I love the 4 spinner wheels! I’ve never had those before, and they are just fabulous.
I’m very glad I paid a bit extra to get this excellent suitcase…

I was looking for a carry-on that was light, functional and can fit vertically in most overhead compartments. And I’ve found it! This is perfect for light mini vacation trips, and business trips.
