The quality of the luggage is great, however, it is not ideal as a carry on. First, it does not fit wheels-in in the overheads (I took it on 4 major carriers). Instead it lies lengthwise, so you’re taking up two spots in the overhead. I also was not permitted to carry it on board in two major US airports because they said it didn’t meet size criteria (I did not have it expanded).
